Esports.net just sold for $50,000

March 29, 2017 By progamingmedia Leave a Comment

Overwatch esportsThe owner of the domain name esports.net has sold it for a monstrous $50,000 USD, according to domain industry news publication DN Journal.

It’s anyone’s guess who bought the name, but given the esports industry is exploding, this may be a fraction of the name’s worth in 5 or 10 years.

The deal took place at Sedo this past week, making it the top publicly reported sale for an esports domain this year.
